I have a show coming up in Oct. at the Carmel Art Association. I am working on large plein air landscapes
for the show and also for Galerie Plein Aire. You maybe asking "What is the difference
between a studio painting and plein air painting?"
With my plein air work I try to capture the color I see with
the moment of the day. Its a challenge to complete a large painting on
location before the light changes. I have been getting up 5am in the morning in
order to capture that early morning light, by 10am the light is gone.
My studio paintings have more bright colors and are expressionistic, represents my feelings and the mood of the place.rather then the reality of it.
